Potomac Presbyterian Church is a vibrant and energetic community. The youth program is a wonderful group of young people. We get together throughout the year for spiritual growth through meals, games, and fellowship.
Our school program year is from September to May. Sunday mornings, from 10:00-10:45am:
- Middle School students (grades 6 through 8) are in the upstairs classroom with Mrs. Kuhn and Mrs. Smith alternating leadership. They will use a video and book series with the middle schoolers this year called, The Story: Getting to the Heart of God’s Story. This helps all who engage with it to be both hearers and doers of the Word of God. The students will talk about the Biblical story and ponder what difference it makes in their lives whether or not they know the story.
- Senior High students (grades 9 – 12) meet in the youth lounge to get reacquainted and check in with each other. There is no set teacher for the group but the lounge will be available and open from 10:00 am – 10:50 for students to talk and pray and reconnect on Sunday mornings. Any senior high student who would like to help out in the elementary age classroom may contact Mrs. Pereles (email@example.com) to see where there are openings to help out.
Every summer the youth, along with adults in the congregation participate in an intergenerational mission trip. We’ve been to Ohio, Kentucky, New Jersey, and many other places.
